Frequently asked questions

Can you host groups of 30 people?

Yes. In each session, morning or afternoon, the group is split into two subgroups of 15 people who do the tour at the same time, each with its own guide. Write to us with the exact number and we will confirm availability for the date you need.

Can a bus reach the farm?

Yes. The road is paved all the way to the farm and any vehicle can reach it, including buses and vans. The car park has room for 4 cars and 1 bus.

What happens if it rains?

The visit goes ahead: the tour is outdoors but there are covered areas for the cacao processing, the snack and the chocotherapy. That is why we ask the group to bring a rain jacket or poncho.

Do you invoice in the school's or company's name?

Yes. Tick the invoicing box on the form and include the tax ID. We issue a paper invoice from a printed invoice book, not an electronic one, in the institution's name; if your procurement team requires electronic invoicing, let us know before booking.

What does the insurance cover?

Every visit includes accident and assistance insurance for each participant. If your institution needs the cover detailed in writing, we send it with the quote.

How far in advance should we book?

A booking is confirmed with the payment receipt and a minimum notice period. For large groups it is worth getting in touch earlier, because exclusive dates are scheduled in order of confirmation.

Is lunch available?

Yes, as an add-on. The country lunch is not included in any plan and is quoted by group size.

Can birdwatching be combined with the cacao experience?

Yes, that is the full-day plan: birdwatching starts at dawn and the cacao experience runs through the morning, with breakfast and a snack on the same day.

Do I need to be a bird expert to join the birdwatching plan?

No, the tour is designed for every level: the guide adapts the explanation depending on whether the group are beginners or experienced birders.

If I am vegetarian, is there a lunch option for me?

Yes, we have a vegetarian lunch option; just let us know when you book so we can have it ready for your group.

Is it safe to travel to the area?

Yes. Cubarral and the Ariari region have been an active tourism area with normal traffic for years, without the public-order problems the region had in the past. We welcome visitors from all over the country all year round without any security incidents.

Is a bilingual guide available for international visitors?

Yes, we have an English-speaking guide; we recommend requesting it when you book to confirm availability on the date of your visit.

Is the farm trail suitable for older adults?

The tour has stretches of uneven ground and gentle slopes, so we recommend checking with us before booking: we can adjust the route or the pace to the group's physical condition, although it is not adapted for people with very limited mobility.

Do I need my own binoculars or camera for birdwatching?

No need: the tour price includes binocular loan. If you have your own, we still recommend bringing them to get even more out of the experience.
